Manuel, tell us about yourself.
Who are you, what do you like to do, what is important to you?

I have been a SAP consultant for 25 years. I graduated in Applied Mathematics - Informatics from the University of Porto, I have a master's degree in software development from the University of Porto. I am currently studying for a PhD at the University of Coimbra, in the area of ​​technology. At the beginning of my professional activity, I worked with the development of software for ERP, in Porto (Portugal), where I was born. After moving to the SAP area, I worked in Europe, Africa and South America, implementing projects. I have been in Brazil for 15 years, implementing SAP projects.

Since 2020 I have been part of the team that organizes SAP Inside Track Fortaleza, and in 2024 we started organizing SAP Inside Track Porto, with a team of consultants from Porto.

What is your area of expertise?
What does a usual day at work look like for you?

My expertise is SAP Finance and Controlling. I also like programming, so I often use JAVA, and lately a lot of Python. I like the Machine Learning area and have several examples of AI.

What inspired you to become an SAP Champion in SAP Community?

Looking at the sharing of information that other colleagues provide and that make knowledge available to the community, I find this very interesting and to be praised these days. Some people who inspired me @Marssel700 and @Ruthvik_Chowdary

How do you learn in SAP Community?
What is your daily/weekly routine in SAP Community?

In my daily routine I read the main posts in the community and some colleagues in particular I follow very closely, because they are in my area of ​​expertise or because I recognize a lot of authority and knowledge in their observations.

What is your suggestion to get the most out of SAP Community?

We also share our knowledge in the community, whether through talks at events, posts and articles in SAP groups, or even individually supporting a colleague via Whatsapp. It is the best way to contribute with our knowledge, to the journey of other colleagues.
